Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated experienced individual to join our team as Full Time Faculty – Mental Health. The ideal candidate will plan, organize and teach in a manner that ensures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives. Responsibilities include teaching the subject area or areas that correspond to the specialty, contribute to the academic process of the institution through the participation in the development of curriculums, assessment, evaluation, research, peer mentoring and coaching, community service, advancement of the institution. AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Facilitate courses from twelve (12) credits per semester in your area of specialty.
2. Maintain competence and professional development in their discipline and in the different teaching and research modalities and methodologies.
3. Conduct themselves ethically, with initiative, leadership, and professional dynamism.
4. Participate in the development, review, implementation, and evaluation of academic offerings.
5. Develop research projects, publications, and external resource projects.
6. Participate in committees, commissions, and governing bodies, as requested to them.
7. Participate in the election of representatives of the faculty to the governing bodies and committees of the Institution.
8. Attend departmental or adjunct faculty meetings, faculty assemblies, and graduation ceremonies convened by the University.
9. Actively participate in the learning assessment processes and continuous improvement of academic programs and institutional services.
10. Provide academic counseling, mentorship, and other support to students.
11. Maintain an individual professional development plan.
12. Serve as a mentor to new faculty members and students.
13. Comply with the functions and tasks inherent to teaching.
14. Participate in the evaluation committee for doctoral program candidates.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
1. Candidate must have one of the following:
a. have a doctoral degree Counseling Education (preferably from a CACREP-accredited program) or an equivalent doctoral degree; or
b. have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013; or
c. have been employed as a full-time doctoral-level faculty member in a CORE-accredited master’s program prior to July 1, 2017; or
d. have graduated from a rehabilitation doctoral program prior to January 1, 2018.
2. Licensed or license eligible as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in the state of employment.
3. Candidate must have minimum 2 years of professional experience.

5. Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and teamwork.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.

9. Able to submit copy of any diploma, academic transcripts and/or certifications
10. Proven leadership skills from your previous work experience.
11. Knowledge and experience in learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1. Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
