Description
We are currently looking for an individual to join our team as Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions is responsible for the planning, supervision, and implementation of the admissions process in alignment with institutional policies and goals. This role ensures adherence to AGMU’s academic and administrative standards while driving enrollment growth. The Director is accountable for achieving new student enrollment targets and fostering collaborative efforts across departments to support recruitment and retention initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed new student enrollment goals.
2. Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to streamline admissions and onboarding processes.
3. Represent AGMU at internal and external recruitment events, college fairs, and outreach initiatives.
4. Identify and coordinate opportunities for targeted recruitment events and activities.
5. Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to admissions effectiveness.
6. Prepare and submit comprehensive reports as requested by university leadership.
7. Regularly update supervisors on admissions progress, challenges, and opportunities.
8. Supervise and support the admissions team in achieving daily objectives and departmental goals.
9. Oversee lead management and conversion strategies to optimize enrollment pipelines.
10. Maintain current knowledge of local, state, federal, and institutional regulations impacting student admissions.
11. Partner with Marketing and Enrollment departments to develop admissions materials and outreach strategies.
12. Analyze application trends and statistics to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
13. Coordinate with the Registrar's Office to validate transfer student records.
14. Assign responsibilities and oversee staff performance to ensure operational efficiency.
15. Ensure proper training for new admissions staff and provide leadership development.
16. Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching, offer feedback, recognize achievement, and implement corrective action as needed.
17. Provide accurate information and guidance to prospective students regarding admissions, fees, enrollment status, visas, sponsorships, and scholarships.
18. Maintain organized and compliant student files, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy in all systems.
19. Ensure compliance with FERPA and other applicable laws in the handling of student records and sensitive information.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Higher Education , or related field, Master’s degree, preferred.
2. Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in higher education, admissions or enrollment services.
3. Extensive knowledge of academic programs, admission requirements, and student services.
4. Knowledge of admission procedures at university level.
5. Experience in sales and marketing.
6. Excellent communication skills and community relations.
7. Ability to prepare written reports, clear and concise communications in Spanish and English.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with faculty, administrative employees, students, and the public.
9. Experience in planning, budgeting, personnel supervision.
10. Skills to work in a team and under pressure.
11. Demonstrate mastery of business productivity technology tools as well as remote communication technologies to support their functions and offer services physically and remotely.
12. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Velocify, Anthology, ARGOS, OnBase, and remote communication tools.
13. Knowledge of higher education regulations, policies, and institutional best practices.
