Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated, experienced individual to join our team as Part Time – Social Science and Sociology. The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and teach in a manner that ensures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives. Responsibilities include teaching the subject area or areas that correspond to the specialty, contribute to the academic process of the institution through the participation in the development of curriculums, assessment, evaluation, research, peer mentoring and coaching, community service, and advancement of the institution. AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students. REQUIREMENTS 1. MA, MS in Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work. 2. Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a successful instructor in your subject area, prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level is strongly preferred. 3. Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English. 4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and teamwork. 5. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds. 6. Commitment to student success and the institution’s mission. 7. Able to submit a copy of any diploma, academic transcripts, and/or certifications 8. Proven leadership skills from your previous work experience. 9. Knowledge and experience in technical applications: a. Proficiency with MS Office suite software, such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft 365 applications. b. Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
