Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as Part-Time Faculty in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician Diploma Program. The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and teach in a manner that ensures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives.
Responsibilities include teaching the assigned subject area(s) related to refrigeration and air conditioning, contributing to the academic process of the institution through curriculum development, assessment, evaluation, research, student mentoring and coaching, and participation in community service and advancement of the institution.
AGMU serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for both traditional and non-traditional students.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum); Associate or Technical Degree preferred. OSHA 10-hour Certification (mandatory).
2. EPA 608/609 Certification (mandatory).
3. Postsecondary training in HVAC/R or related field plus at least 1 year of work experience; OR in absence of formal education, minimum 3 years of industry experience (residential, commercial, or industrial HVAC).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Teaching or training experience in technical education.
2. Additional certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence, NCCER).
3. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
4. Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Special Requirements
SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1. Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. 2. Work Location: On-site at AGMU campuses in Tampa, Orlando, or Miami.
