We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as our Network & Infrastructure Specialist. Technical responsibilities encompass the installation, upkeep, and enhancement of all telecommunications, networks, and server infrastructure components within the AGMU, in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Ana G. Mendez University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Install, maintain, and update of all technology components, including voice, data networking, telecommunications, servers, and related hardware and software. 2. Prepare and maintain AGMU network & infrastructure technical documentation. 3. Monitor the utilization and performance metrics of AGMU network and server infrastructure to strategically plan their proactive development. 4. Verify the work carried by suppliers of products and services within the AGMU network and server infrastructure adhere to established quality standards. 5. Respond to and update user service orders requested through the Help Desk system to solve technical problems with network & server infrastructure equipment. 6. Diagnose and resolve network & server infrastructure problems with service providers and Branch Campus staff. 7. Repair voice/data wiring, network and server infrastructure equipment. 8. Develop and maintain an updated inventory of parts and equipment used in your area. 9. Visit the Branch Campuses to repair, install, and configure AGMU network and server infrastructure equipment. 10. Provide guidance to units seeking voice or data connections, as well as advice on their equipment needs for voice, data, and server systems. 11. Responsible for the care, maintenance and safety of the tools, equipment, and materials at your disposal to carry out the work.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. 2. Two (2) years of previous work with networks and infrastructure. 3. Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English. 4. Knowledge and experience in maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting network & server infrastructure. 5. The role requires a solid ability to identify and develop viable alternatives in solving technical problems, a skill that is crucial for success in this position. 6. A crucial prerequisite for this position is proficiency in business productivity tools, technology applications, and remote communication technologies to effectively support the functions of the role and provide services both in person and remotely. 7. Skill in configuring, installing, and programming network & server infrastructure systems. 8. Ability to be precise and meticulous. 9. Service-oriented and promptly responds to customer requirements. 10. Sufficient interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and administrators. 11. Ability to search, collect, and synthesize various technically complex data. Use intuition and experience to complement the information obtained, design process, and operation flows.
