Description
1. Develop and execute a strategic outreach and visitation plan targeting corporations, professional associations, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.
2. Deliver AGMU’s Continuing Education offerings and approved Academic Programs in a professional and institutionally consistent manner.
3. Represent the University at outreach events and professional activities using approved materials and presentations that follow brand guidelines.
4. Conduct needs assessments to determine organizational training and workforce development requirements, then design AGMU-aligned academic or continuing education solutions.
5. Prepare, submit, and present customized corporate and institutional proposals in both English and Spanish, ensuring they align with AGMU policies and academic standards.
6. Maintain accurate records and monitor the conversion process from prospects to clients, including proposals submitted and contracts closed, to support the evaluation of business development performance.
7. Build and sustain professional relationships with boards, licensing entities, and professional associations (e.g., CDA and similar boards) to secure AGMU approval as an authorized education provider.
8. Maintain communication with corporate and institutional clients to encourage repeat contracts and long-term partnerships.
9. Identify opportunities to develop new courses, credentials, and services aligned with market demand and AGMU’s academic strategy.
10. Regularly submit status updates and progress reports to the immediate supervisor to enable data-informed decision-making and strategic planning.
11. Maintain and update an accurate database of corporate and institutional contacts using approved systems.
12. Analyze the market to spot emerging niches, competitive advantages, and workforce development opportunities aligned with AGMU’s mission.
13. Coordinate the logistics and execution of outreach events and activities, including scheduling, preparation of materials, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.
14. Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and contacts in designated systems and prepare routine reports or summaries as requested by supervisory staff.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or related fields required.
2. Professional Certifications in sales, business development.
3. Three (3) years of experience in sales, business development or institutional outreach.
4. Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.
5. Ability to connect with professional leaders and executive in-market partners in ways that build productive and lasting relationships.
6. Excel at face-to-face and phone communication in both “one-on-one” and large group environments.
7. Possess strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to think strategically as well as tactically; ability to “think outside of the box."
9. Knowledge of and ability to apply marketing strategies to marketing tactics.
10. Ability to work on non-traditional shift, weekends and afternoon and nights shifts.
